Murray High School for the past two years
has had the fortunate experience of being
under the leadership of one of the most ca-
progressive minded men in the ed-
ucational field today. To our principal, Fred
Schultz, who has given so many hours to the
youth of M.H.S., we dedicate the 1959 Tiger.

The day that we the graduatnng class of 'I959 entered the flrst grade gradua
tron day was only a tlny goal somewhere In the dustant future We have now reached
that goal leavlng behind us many prrnts on the sands of tlme These prnnts were
at furst hardly notlceable but nn 1955 when we were put through the usual tor
tures of green freshmen they became a llttle more promlnent
These flrst sllght umpresslons were made by the 78 students and sponsors Mr
Fred Shultz and Mrs Dew Drop Rowlett Our class offlcers were Presldent Ted
Sykes Vlce Presrdent Jerry Henry Secretary and Treasurer Jeanette McNutt Our
class actlvltles were few but as our sophomore year began they became more
numerous
In 1956 we ganned Marvlee Easter Roszanne Farrrs Bonnle Futrell Mary Ellen
Wllllams Linda Toon Carla Hlnch and Glenn Hull but because of the loss of Don
Alexander Larry Austnn John Arnold Pat Barnes G C Caln James Carson Phul

Our lmprlnts on the sands of time were made somewhat deeper during our gun
lor year There were 62 of us lolly lunlors wlth the gain of Ronnie Christopher
Adair Ronald Barlow Hugh Crass Richard Parker Dwalne Spencer Wlllle Ross
Stamps Jane Chadwick Eva Dunn Sara Kung Hazel Peal and Mary Ellen Wllllams We

and Treasurer Sandra Hamrlck Our sponsors were Mrs Dew Drop Rowlett and Mr El:
Alexander Our mann events throughout the year Included the homecoming foot
ball party the class play Bound to Marry and the Junior Senror Banquet The
theme for the banquet which was held at the Kenlake Hotel was Moonllght and
Roses
Our frnal tmprunts at Murray Hugh School have been made under the dtrectuon of our

All these happy moments shall fade Into memorles on May 28 1959 when we
wlll each go our separate ways to make our lndnvldual umprlnts on the sands of the
future As we leave we shall utter a silent prayer of thanks and of hope a hope
that the graduatnng class of 1959 may always be remembered for tts accompllsh
