As Seniors Achieve Athletic And Scholastic Awards Begging hall monitors Tom Barrows, Jerry Crowell and Bob Allen to get through the halls is senior Mary Jo Slettom. The hall monitors, an important part of the noon hour, are stationed at the end of each hail and at doorways. They keep stu- dents out of the halls and on school grounds during the lunch periods. Hall monitors are given a credit in school service and are chosen by Mr. George Rose. They are members of the Student Council. Ready t-o serve customers at the AFS chicken barbeque on July 4 are Joan Coffman, Jane Gilie, Susan Smith, Eliza- beth Frost, Andrea Shuster and Carole Barthold. When fund raising efforts during the school year failed to raise sufficient funds to finance an AFS student, members of the senior class began to look for ways to raise the money. Gerald Loney, president, Floyd Richardson, Donald Melander, Paul Net pictured, Karen Schroeder, The Quest For Knowledge And Truth ls Almost Over Rehearsing various scenes from this year's senior class play, Little Women, are Lois Gredvig, Charles Nightingale, Jane Gilie, Joan Kruskopf and An- drea Shuster. The play was decided upon after the speech classes had read various plays, and a group of interested seniors had met. After a week of try- outs in late October, a double cast was chosen. The casts then started rehearsing every other day until the play was perfected and ready to present. The senior class play is not -only for a few sen- iors, but involves most of the class. Seniors inter- ested in art, under the direction of Mr. Daniel Sorenson, spent many hours designing and paint- ing the sets. 7 Priscilla Hager and Barbara Lembke practice their skit before they put it on at the senior class party which was held November 2. Looking on are Jeff Otto trying to master the hula hoop, .lim Knutson and Pam Comstock. Facilities in the gym, such as volley- ball, ping pong and hula hoops, were available for the seniors' use. Movies were shown in the band room while dancing and basketball were held in the gym. Priscilla Hager and Jerry Loney were the general chairmen for the party.
