4. UW' DEDIC TI nga?-a-,,,,, If the school and the community wished to select an ideal repre- sentative of both, we think their choice would second that of the 1960 Pilot Stalf-Mr. Bernard J. Broderick. As an example of an educator, a community leader, and a good neighbor, Mr. Broderick qualihes with much to spare. In fact the Brodericks are frequently to be found entertaining or helping young people of the neighborhood, and participating in commu- nity aiairs. Mr. Broderick, an instructor in mathematics, received his higher education at St. Cloud State College, the University of Minnesota, and the University of North Dakota. As a class room teacher, Mr. Broderick is respected for his ability to instruct, to encourage, and to guide his students. However, he is best known in the community and the city as 'fCoach to the players and to the many followers of hockey. It is his great interest, and his record reveals taking three teams to the State Tournament when he coached at Warroad, and two since he has been at Murray. At the present time he is president of the State Hockey Coaches Association. It is with warm pride and genuine pleasure that we prese - the Pilot subscribers our man of the e ' . ernard J. Broderick
