, This Business O Selections Ever since the present seniors were freshmen, counselors and ad- visers have urged the students to make early plans for college. Heeding this advice are seniors Dorothy Tiedeman, Janice Benson, Roger Pearson, James Juhl, and Tom Rygg, who are in the guid- ance oliice looking over books and pamphlets from various colleges. Besides such information these seniors also are eligible for schol- arships oliered by colleges, busi- ness firms, and organizations. Rog- er Pearson, one of the group, and Sandra Schaliner are Merit Schol- arship semi-finalists. Of the two hundred-twenty sen- iors in the class approximately one hundred-forty are college bound. The University of Minnesota is the choice of most of the seniors. Scholarships and honors are con- ferred on Senior day, a day which sees this book issued to subscribers. Possibly seniors pictured here will be lucky Winners today. Moment of Decision l 52 Class committees do more than plan for social events as this one chosen for the selection of an- nouncements will attest. Theirs is the business of deciding which tirm's display best suits the taste and pocketbook of the average senior. There is much discussion as to quality and price, and the style of the engraving. Agreement of the committee is necessary for the final selection. Members of the announcement committee here pictured are: Jerry Pederson, Kathleen Byrne, Judith Gieseke, John Preda, Robert Mu- rawski, Mike Johnson, Margaret Madigan. Oh, this business of making de- cisions! exclaims Kathy Byrne.
