Press Convention Stresses Creative Journalism Representing Murrah's three publications, fifty excited delegates arrived in Chicago for three days of classes and sightseeing. The National Scholastic Press Association Convention provided a chance for high school staff mem- bers to improve journalistic techniques and to encourage original ideas. During the convention the 1963 Hoofbeat staff received the Pacemaker Award for pioneering in color photography. This is Chicago- Stormy, husky, brawling, City of the big Shoulders.' 11 14 .L V
