The building of a usable skill in typewriting is the primary aim of this course. Skill is not merely the ability to type so many words a minute, but the ability to type material at an ap- propriate rate and with acceptable ac- curacy. A course in journalism helps the student to express himself clearly and forcefully and also to encourage interest in contem- porary happenings in the nation and world.
