vx Exercises become routine in girls' gym. Ph sical Education Recently in several magazines the physical htness of today's young person has been criti- vized greatly. Physical Education is required at lVlurrah which shows that we believe strongly in the theory, Sound body, sound mindf, Kermit Davis NLS., BS. Nessie Bennett B.S. There are many sports in which an individual may engage. Volley ball, baseball, and basket- ball are just a few which both boys and girls may enjoy. These are team games and playing in them not only keeps you fit, but also improves your ability to eo-operate. Gym is mainly a period of co-operation-eco operation with the teacher, the squad leader, and the team. However, above allggym is a time to relax, forget other problems, and have fun. 1 '..3-P Free shots often win the game.

Biology 54 Sputniks, ballistic missiles, space travel and the H-bomb have turned the world spotlight on the sciences, especially in the high schools. High schools have been down-ridden because of the lack of sciences in certain schools. However, Murrah is not found lacking in this respect. Three years of science are taught at Murrah, one of them is required, and for interested stu- dents there is a special science class in the morn- ing before school. These three sciences, biology, chemistry and physics, have become basic in many vocations, and the courses at Murrah pro- vide a good background for the more advanced and specialized sciences of college.
