Despite the outward appearance, things could not always be taken at “face value. MUNSTER HS 1988 The list continues □ “Dead heads clad in rainbow-colored tie-dye shirts listening to the latest tape “Touch of Grey.” □ Movie buffs forking over $5.60 to see the thrills and chills of “Fatal Attraction” and the romance of “Dirty Dancing.” □ Eyes in the skies as a Student Govern- ment-sponsored plane circled the foot- ball field displaying a Fly High to Victory banner to raise spirit at the Homecoming parade. The list of eye-catching individuals grew longer as the daily activities stuffed students’ sched- ules. Hallways were filled with ten National Merit Semi-Finalists, eccentrics who deviated from the norm and specialized in their own look, to the Red and White clad school-spirited majority. Whether donning heavy coats to ward off the frigid January sub-zero temperatures or peeling off layers to beat the soaring June heat, students discovered it wasn’t just the big events that cap- tured their interest.
