Instead of having one main speaker, the four class officers each gave a speech. Dawn Miller, school board president, received over 240 peanuts from the graduating class. This was also the first year the seniors asked permis- sion to toss their caps at the end of the ceremony. Ut was also the first year no one was injured by a gradu- ate's caplj And elderly people were given a special place to sit, right next to the graduates!
