Time passes quickly, and though
our school days are full of happy
events, it is possible to forget some
of them. The main purpose of an
annual is to help retain memories of
those events. It isfwith this thought
in mind, that we, the Seniors of 1948
present this annual to you.

DEDICATIGN
This year we are pausing to pay our respects
to a well known and well liked teacher of Munday
High School, Mr. J. H. Bardwell.
Throughout the few years that he has been here
he has shown great interest in the students, both
individually and as a body, and has passed on to
us much invaluable knowledge.
It is with pleasure that we dedicate this annual
to you, Mr. Bardwell.
Senior s of '48
SUPERINTENDENT'S
MESSAGE
The time I have spent in the Munday School System has
been a very delightful period. I am filled with gratitude
for the splendid cooperation that pupils, teachers, and
parents have given. The Student-body is a fine group of
boys and girls. I wish to express my.sincere appreciation
to each of you for your fine spirit.
The Teaching Staff is a fine aggregation of men and
women that have dedicated themselves to the service of
youth.
To be a worthy member of and a competent worker
with such magnificent groups, is my highest ambition.
Sincerely,

SUMMARY OF FOOTBALL SEASON
1947
The '47 season opened September 12 with Coleman and the score
was in favor of Coleman, 13-6. It was a hard-fought game with the
Moguls keeping the Bluecats on their toes. September 19 the Seymour
Panthers came here happy and left sad. The Moguls downed them 18
to 0 for the second year. September 26, Munday journeyed to Rule to
win a non-conference game 24 to 0. The following week, October 3,
the Moguls again left home to go to Throckmorton to see-saw back
and forth with every minute a thrill. When the gun sounded the end of
the game, the Moguls were behind two points and down in the enemies
territory. The score 26-24. October 10, after a long ride to Anson
the Moguls seemed unable to get started. All through the game the
Moguls seemed powerless except for spurts of power that didn't last.
We were tromped 37-0. On October 17, the Moguls met the Haskell
Indians in the usual rough game. We took them 27-12. The following
week the Stamford Bulldogs visited Munday. In a game in Which the
Moguls didn't get started until the last minute Stamford won 19-14.
All of Munday's scores were, made in the last 4 minutes o.f the game.
October 31, Munday romped Hamlin on her own field 47-6 and again
the next week, November 7, Spur was defeated 34-0 here. The last
game of the season was played on November 14 with Albany. It was
Munday's game 20-6.
Munday placed fourth in district ll-A and got 5 men on the A11-
district teams: Montgomery and Haynie, lst team, Bouldin and Swain
2nd team, and .Toe Yarbrough made 3rd team. Munday will lose -
Swain, Montgomery, Haynie, Bouldin, Moore, Yarbrough, Brown, Baker,
Ford, and Reynolds.
