Wells, Mike Thenell, Pat Burgess, David Hackos, Todd Tay- lor This year the Cross Country team finished tenth out of fourteen teams in the Centen- nial league championship, their best showing ever. Highlights include MulIen's defeat over Regis for the first time and Fred Carter's second place rank in the Dis- trict meet. Although the seniors had more experience and were not as likely to crack under pressure, the strong runners were the underclassmen. Freshmen runners Joel Faestel and Phil Faulkner showed great potential. Sophomore runners J.D. Wells and Brendan Bastable ran very well also. Coach Abell with his strong, young team hopes to improve next year.
