SPO s ef? Q66 Mullen has been a leader in its league when it comes to athlet- ics, and we as a school are a force to be reckoned with. This year was no exception. ln foot- ball the Mustangs earned a place in the State semi-finals, with team leaders including Jerry Dunn, Tim Mara, David Ar- terberry and James Coffey. In basketball, Mullen was rank- ed 42 by a Denver Post poll ear- ly in the season, and promises a winning year with players Jah- mall Coleman, James Coffey, Eric Pille, David Cunningham, Tim Mara, and Greg Schecken- bach. Other sports the Mustangs were competitive in this year included tennis, soccer, cross country, wrestling, hockey, and swim- ming. The Mustangs were espe- cially successful in cross coun- try with their best season ever. Wrestling looked strong early in the season with Sean Steeves and Dan Murphy as team lead- ers. As Mullen continues to uphold its tradition of excellence throughout the Centennial League, it also provides a win- ning atmosphere for its athletes.
