SCOTT Advisor Wee-Nook-Shi, Mount Tahoma's synchronized swimming group, gives girls an opportunity to enjoy aquatic sports and to learn form swimming skills. Each fall girls try out for the group and are accepted if they show ap- titude and are able to do the front crawl, back crawl, side stroke, breast stroke, dive, and surface dive. The more difficult skills, proper rhythm, and timing are learned after they become members. Wee-Nook-Shi met every Monday after school under the direction of Mrs. Scott and president Kolet Weed. After a business meeting and deck exercises, they practiced strokes and stunts in the Water. After Christmas they began to plan for their annual water show, which was presented in late March this year. The theme for the pageant was And Twelve Makes One. Each act represented one of the twelve months, which together, as represented in the finale, make one year. Each of the members participated in at least one of the acts. Featured were an April showers trio, a Iune wedding quartet, a duet by Marsha and Georgia Stirn, and solos by Eileen Holme and Kolet Weed KOLET WEED President

PEP STAFF SHOWS ENTHUSIASM AND VIGUR, SANDY KRAMER IAN SAETHER PENNY DROST LINDA HALE lan Saether, Sandy Kramer, Penny Drost, and Linda Hale did an excellent job of representing Mount Taho- ma. They helped to promote enthusiasm at the games by leading yells and by discouraging unsportsman-like conduct and booing from the rooting section. Even though football games often were Wet and cold, and basketball games were frequently played in crowded and stuffy gymnasiums, these girls were always there to let the team know that loyal Thunderbirds were behind them, Win or lose.
