ENTITLED YOU CANT TAKE IT WITH YUU The Mount Tahoma Drama Department selected as its first major production a light-hearted comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. The play, entitled You Can't Take lt With You, depicted the zany adventures of the Sycamore family, and was very successful in its two-night run on November 14 and 16. Directed by Miss Nancy Flatt and assisted by Chris Hanson and Sylvia Haase, the cast of nineteen performed before large crowds on both nights. The success of the play would not have been possible were it not for the following persons: Mr. Paul Michaels and the art Workshop for the set designg Mr. Ed Roalkvaam and the stage Crew for set construction and backstage assistance, Mrs. Evelyn Barner and the office training classes for tickets, flyers, and programs, and the students who assisted on the various play committees. CUURTRUUM DRAMA AS SECUNU PLAY UF YEAR On February 27 and 29 a play entitled The Night of Ianuary l6th was viewed by scores of students, parents, and members of the community in Mount Tahoma's auditorium. Several people from the audience were selected at random to participate as members of the jury in this production given by the drama department. Many roles in the play were portrayed by two different people, giving each cast a chance to perform on one of the two nights. Bill Iohnson depicted the defense attorney for Karen Andre, who was por- trayed by Iule Cottini and Nancy Martens. Miss Andre was on trial for the murder of Bjorn Faulkner, a wealty businessman, Harry Owens played the role of the district attorney. The panel of jurors actually chose the verdict of the trial, and on both nights the result of their deliberation was not guilty. Miss Nancy Flatt, drama teacher and director, along with the entire cast, wishes to thank the various groups of students who assisted with the produc- tion of the play.
