Etherington Row 3 C Sanchez K Capener G Clawson, C. Royse, V. Harrison. The purpose of Health Careers is to acquaint the mem- bers With career opportunities in the field of health. This year Health Careers introduced its members to the health field through films, special speakers, and field trips. On April 23 the members of the club attended an open house at the University of Washington under the title of Health Services . Throughout the year the club sponsored bake sales in order to earn the little money necessary to cover its expenses. Some of this money Was used to help send the members to the University of Washington's open house. ln addition to helping members of the club, Health Careers sponsored a Red Cross first-aid course for Mount Tahoma students and other interested members of the community. MR. TONE Advisor FUTURE TEAEHERS Future Teachers Club has been continued this year to acquaint Mount Tahorna students With the teaching pro- fession and to instill increased respect tor it. In December the club made a visitation to Manitou Grade School for this purpose. In the spring, the Universinty of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University were visited. Yearly activities included such services as teaching and helping at Manitou Grade School during the entire second semester, a tea for other F.T.A. clubs, and a tea for the Mount Tahorna teachers. Future Teachers increased their funds by mint sales in November, December, and again in March. The club again gave a one-hundred dollar scholarship to a deserving student.
