SPIRIT I-INII SPURTSMI-INSIIIP IN STUDENT BUIJY ln addition to supporting the team and promoting school spirit, Pep Club has enabled people to make new friends. Through the main pep rallies and the sale of pom- poms, banner pins, booster buttons, and pep bus tickets, the foundation for the spirit of future classes has been firmly established. Pep Club has sponsored innumerable activities including dances and the annual pep parade. Continued were the nearly variety show and the tradition of throwing pennies into Old Cop- perbottomn for good luck at the games. With proceeds from Various activities, Pep Club purchased two trophies which are awarded to the class with the most school spirit at the games. ANU GRACE FUR THE THIRD CUNSECUTIVE YEAR 'H T x fy-174 IERI COZINE MARI LYN BETSHART PAT KNUTSON Secretary Treasurer Sefgeam-a1-ArmS Under the leadership of the president, Val Morford, and the supervision of Mr. Bill Byan, the Tawankas performed at special events, provided entertainment at football games, and strived to build character and instill responsibility in the students. The main goal of this drill team was to further loyalty and spirit. Few words can be said to describe the enthusiasm and determin- ation With which these girls strived toward the finished product, Well worth the long hours of practice. The drill team participated in the Veterans Day Parade and, in April, put on another impressive performance in the annual Daffodil Parade.
