THE GUIDANCE AND EUUEATIUN UE STUDENTS To truly be successful We must select goals that We sincerely Want to pursue, for our own and honest reasons and have both the courage and competence to go on pursuing them. When We have chosen our goals and are certain we have chosen them Well and prudently, We should concentrate upon them. We should give all of our support and energy to their accomplishment. We must protect ourselves against dis- tractions and other influences that tend to divert us from our defined objectives. We must make sure that our Worthwhile purposes become the aims of our daily living. Our lives should be Well balanced. We should Work at the development of healthy bodies and cultivate alert and perceiving minds. We should learn to read and appreciate good books and practice the arts of speaking and Writing, to the end of gaining a proficiency in the latter two. We should learn how to get along With our fellow citizens and practice those social principles that are just and morally sound. We should Work diligently and bring enthusiasm, interest and determination to our daily tasks, seeking not the job, but rather to do the job. And it is up to each of us to remember and never forget that We, as individuals, have the freedom and opportunity to develop the best that is Within us to its highest capability. EUGENE TONE - Vice Principal Thirteen
