Later, in the spring of the year, toothbrushes Went on sale to help finance Senior Cruise expenses. And, fin- ally, as a contribution to the school and a parting gift from the Senior Class, 5500.00 was donated to pay for a public address system for the gym. This class, the first to complete three years at Mount Tahoma, has left a legend behind them as a goal for classes to follow. They have not only enjoyed their share of pep, fun, and games, they have also borne in mind the real reason they Were here . . . to learn. This year ended, just as all the others had, but this year meant a great change for the seniors, because now they must leave school to enter society. Some will go on to higher education, and others will join the working force-each will pursue his lifetime goal. One-Hundred-Eighteen VAL MORFORD LONI THORESON Secretary Treasurer ulndustrious labor , diligent, inexhaustable energy , eminent academic standards , these phrases can only begin to describe the goals and accomplishments which are credited to the Senior Class of 1964. This year's graduating class, feted as among the most outstanding in Mount Tahoma's history, has displayed an impressive combination of school spirit and con- scientious responsibility, coupled With top salesmanship and scholastic abilities. Zest and vitality wereobvious early in the year as the Class of '64 pulled ahead, maintaining a comfortable lead, to capture the award for the highest percentage in activity ticket sales. Efforts to enrich the class activity fund were many and varied as the seniors worked hard to build their treasury. Highlighting the campaign, a drive to sell Christmas cards was instigated early in October. As upperclass salesmen canvassed the city, results of the sales mounted to a total of more than SQULLUU. Small but mighty, the Class of 64 emerged as the top competitors in Pep Week Activities. The pep trophy, nylon contest, tug-of-war, beard growing contest, Brakeman Bill hat sale, and trash can competition were

The return trip by boat proved to be nostalgic in fi way bcrcfiiise as a class this was the linal outing they would be taking. The banquet was planned by co-chairmen Linda Schwebs and lamie Harkness, and took place at 8:00 on April l8th. Music by the lrridescents added to the sentimental atmosphere ot the smorgasborg dinner as seniors enf toyed one of their last evenings together as a class. As the night drew to a close, laughter was treguent, memories were vivid, and graduation Was an upperf most thought in the minds ot all.
