Lambertl The sophomore football team, With the help of coaches George Nordi and Iim McDonald, finished second in this year's race. They ended the season with a 4-2 record, their best in three years of competition. The moment of glory for the rookie T-Birds was their 19-6 victory over the Stadium Tigers. The sophomore gridmen never got their chance against Bellarmine, the only team they defeated last year, because both scheduled games were forfeited to the T-Birds. If the team keeps up the hard Work and improvement they have shown this year, We can expect a good varsity team in the future. One-Hundred-Twelve

Schmidt, T. Williams, F. Bush, P. Mennenga. The sophomore Reds, under direction of Coach Larry Ubben, this year compiled a 7-win 9-loss season record. Although they lost more than they won, their season was termed successful because of the fact that they twice defeated their school rival, the Golds. A With determination and hustle, these sophomore boys are looking forward to a crack at some reserve and varsity positions within the next two years. lt takes a lot of desire and a love of basketball to come to the early practices that these sophomores took part in. lf it wasn't for their willingness to work extra hard and their determination, their fine showing certainly could not have been possible. With Coach Ubben leading the way, these sophomores had a successful season and therefore should be given a hearty thanks for a job Well done. One-Hundred-Eleven

With the gym leaders teaching basketball moves, wrestling holds, gymnastics, and other phases of athletic maneuvers, much of the load was taken oft the physical education instructor, Mr. Williams. With the assistance of the gym leaders, Mr. Williams was able to keep his gym classes busy with vigorous calisthenics and a stepped-up running program. The swimming leaders taught the various swim techniques to beginning, intermediate, and advanced swim classes. From the beginner to the most advanced student, perfection is the ultimate goal.
