Houghton, B, Tornquist, B. Lloyd. Mount Tahoma's sophomore gold team, under the guiding hand ot Coach Iim McDonald, finished this year's league play with a seven-win seven-loss record. The Golds also swept two non-league tilts from the Bethel Braves' sophomore team, thus giving the Golds an overall season record of nine wins and seven losses. This year, as in the past two seasons, the sophomores have turned out early in the morning due to lack ot gym space in the afternoon. Although these practices were inconvenient, the hard-working sophomores didn't miss many practices. Consid- ering the sophomores' eagerness and dedication, the returning lettermen can be assured ot much high spirited competition for their varsity positions. One-Hundred-Ten

This Was due to the depth experienced by the varsity team, leaving better than average performers to compete in these meets. Running directly after each varsity heat, the reserves had something to aim for, trying extra hard to equal or surpass the varsity times in hopes of gaining a varsity spot. After once proven as good or better than the varsity cindermen, each reserve got his chance to perform in the varsity heat. With valued experience gained against true competition, these T-Bird athletes can look forward to filling the spikes left by the graduating seniors. One-Hundred-Nine

Schmidt, T. Williams, F. Bush, P. Mennenga. The sophomore Reds, under direction of Coach Larry Ubben, this year compiled a 7-win 9-loss season record. Although they lost more than they won, their season was termed successful because of the fact that they twice defeated their school rival, the Golds.
