I This year Mount Tahoma's racquet squad, paced by the return of last year's entire team and a few well qualified novices, had an extremely good season in comparison with their past record. Some of Mount Tahoma's opponents were quite surprised to be beaten by practically the same squad that they had beaten last year. A strict conditioning program, valuable experience gained last year, beautiful tennis courts, a great desire to learn and win and Coach George Nordi's magnificent coaching ability were the main reasons for this season's record. This year's team, comprised entirely of sophomores and juniors, will be back in its entirety next year to rate as one of the favorites in the city. We certainly expect to see a champion squad next year.

Fish, R. Font, l- WOffhiHQlOU. Coach Orlando. L This year's rifle team, once again coached by Mr. Robert Orlando, captured fifth place in the Evergreen High School Rifle eague. Their commendable finish Was due in part to the team's hard Work and extra efforts. One other important factor was the easy accessibility of ten good rifles. These rifles were purchased only last year and helped greatly this season. The team's practices Were a little difficult to get to because -they were held at the Point Defiance rifle range. One of the purposes of the rifle team, besides attaining good marksmanship, is to learn the rules of proper rifle conduct. This facet of learning to shoot Was one of many good points Mr. Orlando taught his fine group of marksmen. One-Hundred-Four
