Frank Clarke Recessional.. ..........Band 15 SENIORS THEIR OFFICERS President - Larry Hinson Secretary - Gail Silber Vice President - Tom Bauer Treasurer - Judy Vogel COLORS Blue and White FLOWER Yellow Rose MOTTO He who IS determined has half his work done HISTORY On the morning of September 6 1949 one hundred twenty excited freshmen arrived at Mt Healthy to begin the four years of study that would eventually earn them their school diplomas They blundered through that awkward period of learning their way around the school and after a while the little groups from Mt Healthy Monfort Heights Finneytown and Springdale hada spirit of unity that brought them togeth er as a class In their sophomore and-1un1or years they found as every class before them had found that the exams were hard but not so difficult that they could not be passed with mental ap plication They had entered many of the school activities and some of them had gone to Miami to take the State Scholar ship Tests At this point they had really become a part of the school The beginning of the 1952 53 school year found them the presidents of the school organizations while others were heading the athletic teams Before they knew it they were boarding the train for the trip to Washington D C they were suffering the first night Jitters of their play "The Man Who Came To Dinner" they were being measured for caps and gowns Their last year had gone all too quickly Baccalaureate services were held on May 31 and on the following Friday they were graduated To some of them the graduation mark ed the end of their formal studies but to others it was only the beginning No one knows definitely what will become of these people years from now but one thing is assured he seniors of 1953 will make their place in the world and they will make Mt Healthy proud of them If "Big-wheels" of the school -- the SENIORS. Healthy 66-35. The winner of that game was to meet Hamil- ton, rated third in the state. In this game Mt. Healthy was defeated after a hard fought game 62-43. The total points of Mt. Healthy was 785 and that of their opponents was 1075.
