G C Sha no Chambers Roy R th S t A pl R n o t 1 The Glee Club enrollment this year soared and broke all records lts popu larity has been largely due to the capable learedship of its director Miss McClure The first occasion was the Prince of Peace Declamation Contest in November The PTA also was favored with a short con cert on Fathers Night when the Boys Oc tette the Girls Special Chorus and the en tire Glee Club sang ln connection with the orchestra they provided some music for the school at Christmas On March 2nd and 30th the Club aided the community Lenten services with special numbers Into this busy round of events came the High School open House where the entire chorus sang and the special Girls Chorus also presented a few selections The grand finale of a full season came on April 24th and 25th when the Club and orchestra combined putting forth their ex tra best work presented the Spring Festival of Music The school orchestra is the baby of the many organizations at M H H S but its progress during the past three years has been quite evident due to the fine co operation of the students under the ex cellent leadership of Miss McClure. The group performed at the Pow-Pow at the basketball games and in the Christmas program. The climax however was the beautiful spring concert in which the orchestra had a very essential part.
