A CAPELLA CHOIR Kusic education at Mountair is rapidly becoming a way of life. A short historical synopsis should include the respect, admiration and devotion on the part of the student toward the A Capella Choir. From a very meager beginning the choir has developed into a very artistic performing group as well as one of the most important activities in the lives of the students at Mountair. 'This year in the en- deavor to increase the artistic interpretation and appre- ciation of music, practical experiences in conducting were offered to the students. John Yanczyk was the first student ever to conduct a choir at the district festival, and both John and Ed Biesk conducted the choir at Baccal- aureat and Commencement. Each year public performances have become more numerous and this year include P.T.A. meetings, Christmas Program, Eastern Star, Rotary Club, Television, Mounted Easter Service, Choir Meet, District Festival, State Festival, Baccalaureat, and Commencement. To say the least, the activities and experiences were very enjoyable, and very successful.
