Below: Delight shows clearly on the faces of top runners Kevin Clark, jeff Keeton, and Marv Simpson as they accept a cake from the cheerleaders. Right: Straining to defeat an opponent from Sedro Woolley are Sophomores Stan Olson and Ken Williams. After Slow Season Start, CC Team Coach Darrell Pearson had much to be proud of in his 1972 Cross Country troops, who put together an excellent running season. The Cross Country men were led by the trio of Jeff Keeton, Kevin Clark, and Marv Simpson, who were all standouts on the team. After putting together a two win, three loss record, the thinclads took first in county, sec- ond in league, and third in district. Coach Pear- son's fine group of Seniors included Kevin Clark, Marv Simpson, Mike McKinley, Wayne Hayton, Tom DeGoede, and Martin Soler. Juniors were Jeff Keeton, Tim Purcell, Dave Norton, and Mark Wilson. Outstanding Soph- ornores were John Vizcaya, Larry Heller, and T Tartu? Stan Olson. . 'Q' Left: Kevin Clark ate very well before his meets, thanks to his Pep Club shadow. Above: junior Rob Servoss stretches out the last leg of a race.
