Week Filled With Multitudes of Events Only a Beginning for Queen Linda Patterson, escorted by Brad Warren, and her court, Left to Right, Junior Princesses Sharon Walde, escort Scott Thiessenp Peggy Wetsch, es- Whatever the interest or talent, every class had the chance to shine in the numerous events scheduled throughout the week. Although competition was close, the Sophomores took the prize for overall points and participation. After such a successful week of lively school spirit, what could be a better finale than to watch the MVHS football team in action against the Sedro Wooley Cubs at the game honoring the Class of 1963. Halftime entertainment included the presentation of royalty, class floats, and the marching band. Also showing off for the alumni, the mighty Bulldogs racked up a 21-6 score making Homecoming, 1972 a notable success. As the crown of a perfect week, the semi-formal Homecoming Dance was held in the cafetorium with music by Wall Flower. Unrestrained happiness, crazy-looking characters, dogged determination, and hours of work was Home- coming, 1972. But that's not what it was all about. Homecoming for everyone involved is a memory, however small, however unforgettable. For a Fresh- man it may open a world of new experiences, to a Senior it may mean something much more. We re- member our 1972 team, royalty, and cheerleaders- who have brought honor to MVHS. Thoughts of those four days of friendly, sometimes fierce compe- tition are tucked away in the back of our minds with reflections of the many people who made Home- coming what it was. 14 cort Monte Geerdes, Judy Cordes, escort Kevin Mendoza, Queen Linda and Brad, Senior Princesses Leslie Speedy, escort Mike Spink, and Connie Severson, escort Dale Peter- son.
