RIGHT REVEREND JOHN L. SHERIDAN, M.A., LL.D. PRESIDENT From the desk of the President: THE YEARBOOK of 753 is the book of the years, the vade mecum of the years to be when looking back through the mellowing haze of time and experience, the old student will thus court the genial play of nostalgic reverie. The enterprise, industry, and ingenuity of the class of °53 have produced a book that will equal, if not excel, the high standard of its predecessors. While it predominently stresses the personnel of ll the seniors, the actvities of the underclass men are generously and adequately portrayed. It is a pictor- ial and dramatic display of college life, thus having a strong appeal to the entire student body. Oldsters prone to compare or contrast the now with the then will find herein abundant data to enliven the controversy. It is a meritorius achievement and the home folk bespeak the cordial appreciation of all Mountaineers.
