Wacrina We, the graduates of '55, as a token of our love, appreciation, and thank- fulness, dedicate this yearbook as our final tribute to our own beloved pa- troness. Saint Macrina -- one who has been our inspiration, ideal, and guide during the four happy years at the Mount. We ask you, dearest Saint Macrina, to accept this annual filled with the blueprints, which guided our lives and formed the foundations of character, that helped us play our role in molding a better tomorrow. As we continue our way through life, we ask you to guide us to a life of success and happiness, remain with us in all our future endeavors and keep us close to Mary and her Divine Son. Q5 Wifi Our .siairifuaf HIS EXCELLENCY - MOST REV. NICHOLAS T. ELKO, S.T.D. Bishop Elko as long identified himself with the interests of our Academy. We know that under his leadership we shall continue to surge ahead. .x4rcA ifecfa REVEREND MOTHER OLGA, PROVINCIAL Reverend Mother Olga has been an important asset to us, with her untiring efforts, to ennoble our understanding of life based on firm Catholic principles. J: OFQLUOI' leuefolaing Our gadic iqfincila ea In 1951, as Freshmen, we studied the blueprints, which would be the guides of our lives. Then, as Sophomores, we formed the foundations of char- acter, which would stand "when storms came, and the winds blew and beat upon that," which would be our role as individuals toward molding a better world for tomorrow. In our junior Year, we added the final touches of constancy of purpose, depth of ideals, and broadness of perspective. Then, too quickly came our Senior Year! - Developed blueprints, strengthened foundations, hewn stones, - and in these the finished product - "THE CLASS OF '55. After four delightful and cherished years of wonderful friends, who have shared with us all of our happiest memories, our brightest dreams, our deepest secrets, after four years of painfully learning the "WHYS" of our own good, after four years of Designing our Future, we will strive to live up to the noble standards, that have been maintained during four happy and joyous years at Mount Saint Macrina Academy. Then we shall finally strive earnest- ly to end our Design for the future in our Heavenly Home. lll' SISTER M. LUCIA Typing SISTER M.
