From kindergarten through twelfth grade , we stu- dents are excited about the new year and anticipate what it may bring. Each year's experiences are unique to all. We look back on them - the happy times and the sad times - and realize we will never relive those moments. The Arrowhead Staff of 1974 hopes "'74" Gets Together" will be a lasting remembrance of all the times together throughout the year. 4 Gets As a V E' 5 3 3 Q 5 as w l Together Seniors Principa1's Message ---- ---- 4 Activities ---- Academics - - - Favorites ----- Faculty ---- Classes ------ Class Officers - Seniors ------ Cafeteria Staff Custodians - - - Patrons - - Advertisers - - - Index ------ Farewell - - - 1 4 I 1 1 O I Prmcrp al Iames Pre askorn One knows that a significant milestone in the Mount Savage School year is reached when some ARROWHEAD worker proclaims "The yearbooks are here! " Excitement mounts as each student anticipates how favorably Father Time , the photographers, and the yearbook staff have portrayed his place for this year in the school annual. It's a big job recording in the most meaningful way all the obvious happenings at school. This year's staff headed by editors Lora Loar and Nancy Thoerig have accepted the challenge and spent long hours develop- ing the theme, "'74 Gets Together." Their . sponsor, Mrs. Charlotte Sigler, has been the support the staff needed to do such a commend- able job . p 'M--"W 3' l Time has a mystic quality of allowing events to find their proper prospective in one's total life pattern. Mr. Randolph Davis directed the melodrama: Jeannine Lewis was the student director. Aside from the cast, there were saloon girls, miners, and student assistants. RALLY ROUND THE FLAG, BOYS Ca delightful and wacky comedyj "Stop clownin' around! " The Senior Class Play, "Rally Round the Flag, Boys," a BEST THESPIANS full-length comedy by David Rogers from the book by Max Shulman, was directed by Mr. Edwin Gillis. The story was set in Putman's Landing, a small town in Connecticut. Spring through July the Fourth was the time. When the U . S . Army established a military base at Putman's Landing, the town was in turmoil. Citizens objected to the new addition, and the public relation's officer had a hard time keeping peace between the army and the townspeople. Events went from bad to worse for the lieutenant - a fight errupted at a historic pageant just as his colonel arrived: his girl gave back his engagement ring. This was not an unusual occurence , but since he was being threatened with orders to Alaska it did not help matters. The unfortunate lieutenant had even worse problems when one of the missiles unexpectedly went off. Charles Crosten and Lora Loar We hope your memories of these activities are as lasting as ours.
