X FOREWORD The U,5,5, MOUNT MCKIMLEY weighed anchor and departed Pearl Harbor, T.H., 29 December 1945, enroute to Tokyo, japan, wi th the Far EaSf61'r1 Commission headed by Major General Frank McCoy, U..S1. Army CRetiredj. Arrived Yokohama, japan, on 9 january 1946, unloaded fuel during the night and proceeded to Tokyo, japan, the next morning. On 10 january 1946 moored at Berth A, Shibaura Dock 2nd District, Tokyo. Departed Tokyo on 31 january for Yokosuka, japan, loaded passengers and on the 1st of February the 'Mighty Mac' then departed lfor Pearl Harbor, T.H, On the morning of the 11th of February the 'Mighty Mac' moored at Pier 'Able' Pearl Harbor, 'T.H., Where the Far Eastern Commission and passengers disembarked, the Far Eastern Commission proceeded via air to the mainland. Loaded passengerslto full capacity of 120 officers and 427 enlisted men destined.for separation centers and on the 12th of February the 'Mighty Mac' set sail for San Francisco, California, arriving there on the 18th 0-'f,February 1946. .
