'Q K, .x,l5,,,.el The sun's canvas paints on itself yet another color of yet another day you have left behind, And the memories of times that are past return, as always, to revitalize your mind. The unfulfilled dreams of the past ride away on the rays of the dying crimson ball, And left are only the gentle colors that drift as bonfire smoke on the winds of fall. At the bottom of the colorful sky lies the tree-lined black horizon of our past fears, And at some point beyond the colors, there lie the sunrises of dreams and hopes of new years. ln the memories of yesterday, we see the ever-changing answers of tomorrow, And in the happiness of life's sunrise, we see the pain of a sunset of sorrow. The things we remember most vividly are often not the big events in our lives, but rather, the everyday occurrences. We remember rushing to arrive at school before the second bell, finding our own special places in the lobby, hearing Miss Green's voice resounding through the halls, scrambling to get to our lockers at break time, studying for six weeks' tests, walking to town for lunch, exchanging notes in the hall, and singing the Alma Mater at pep assemblies.
