There is, perhaps, more to be aware of in the world today than there was ten or even five years ago. If we are to acknowledge any belief in an idea of progross, we must realize that each day means discovery and innovation—advances in tho Apollo space program, disclosure of newly found works of Leonardo da Vinci, improvement of cancer treatment. Viet Nam and the fact that it is, for the first time, our generation march- ing overseas have stimulated discussions among some and action among others to seek answers to the di- lemma. Because of the significance of situations and events in the world today, one cannot help being aware of critical issues, regardless of her personal opinions and interests. The state of the world in which we must livo tomorrow is contingent upon what happens today.
