Gilead Indians official record for the 1951 football season was 3 wins and 6 losses. The St. Mary's game being won as a forfeit due to an ineligible player playing with Marion St. Mary. After a slow start, the Indians were developing into a vcry good team. Team spirit was good, morale was high, and at no time during a losing streak did undue tension develop. - The junior High program was started, and should prove a boom to the varsity team in a few years. We were forced, however, to drop out of the Junior High League that we had entered due to the stiff competition but continued to play smaller schools. The Indians lose several key men by graduation, but the 1952 Indian team should be an improved one. Most of the teams in the Mid-Buckeye Conference are losing more via the graduation route than we are. FOOTBALL SCHEDULE LETTER WINNERS VVe They Iunior Bachelder VVilford Keil Sept.
