FOOTBALL REVIEW I The Indians with eleven lettermen started their season against a strong Crestline eleven. The game ended 25-6 in the favor of the Bull- dogs of Crestline. The Indians looked like a winning football- team to start off their season. The Carey Blue Devils with a two-year win- ning streak showed a display of good football. With a well maneuvered team, beat the locals 26-12, to win their first league game. The Blue Devils from Danville with a veteran team, came to Mt. Gilead. The Indians playing poor ball pulled out a 7-6 victory. The Wildcats of Sunbury were a good team on a winning streak. The VVildcats made two touchdowns the hrst half and then Mt. Gilead played good ball and won 13-12 in the second. The Indians then went to Richwood. The Tigers lead by fullback Chapman. were too much for the Indians. The Tigers won 19-6. The Blue Jays then entertained the Indians at Belleville. The Indians featuring long gains and defensive play, beat a strong Belleville squad 13-6. The Monarchs of Marysville came to Mt. Gilead and won 14-6. The locals although having bad luck with fumbles, showed that they were the better team. The Homecoming game was with the F reddies of Fredricktown. The Indians playing poor ball the first half made a come back the second, with two forty yard runs for Gilead touchdowns. The score-Indians 12 Freddies 0. The Irish of St. Marys beat a good Mt. Gilead team on a rain-soaked field. Both teams played good ball with the score ending 19-0. The Cardington game, being the last for eleven Seniors, was a good display of football. The Indians making very long runs and stopping the offensive play of Cardington, smothered the Pirates 32-7: thus ending a season of five wins and five losses. The best seen at Mt. Gilead for a numbe1 of years. I Ez 3 B. Kelly D. McClarfen D. McClelland N. Campbell B. Detkef G. Klingel L. Bumell S? One highlight of the season was defeating Edison, lead by All-Ohio Forward, Maynard Goare, 41-40. The Indians with only two varsity lettermen back, played hard and had good spirits. The fight and enthusiasm of the cheer- leaders and the playing of the band at pep meetings, helped the team with their Eghting spirits. VARSITY McClelland ......... Age .......... . . Company has been the world's leading builder of hydraulic presses. Much of the company's success is due to the cooperative efforts of its employees and the people of Morrow County, who have seen it grow from a very small concern to an interna- tionally known organization. Many present H-P-M employees represent the second and third generation of their re- spective families who have worked at H-P-M. Such family loyalty is one of the keynotes to the company's success. H-P-M presses have solved production problems in a multitude of industries. Their acceptance makes H-P-M the worldis head- quarters for hydraulic presses. THE HYDRAULIC PRESS MFG. CO.
