The Future Farmers of America organization has been comparatively inac- tive because of the lack ot an advisor. The club was formed however, under the leadership oi Mel Hammond, President. Members are: D. Ship- man, D. Foos, W. Wil- liams, R. Gompt, D. Doty, R. Heacock, T. Fiscarelli, L. Taylor, D. Shipman, C. Rhodes, Ir. Fritz, Hart- pence, A. lrons, I. Burns, A. lrons, M. Hammond. The Future Homemak- ers oi America, with their own money and the help oi the school bought fur- niture and redecorated the Home Economics room. They initiated about 25 new members on October 25, l943, and also a group of Cardington girls. One ot their pro- grams was a tea given to their mothers. They sponsored the Christmas dance. President, Thelma West and advisor, Miss Kelly. 25

JUNIUR CLASS PLAY i S SENIUR CLASS PLAY The luniors presented on November l5, 1943, the class play, The Camp- bells Are Coming. The play was a great success. The plot was lively and there was not a dull mo- ment in the entire produc- tion ot the play. Mr. Rex Anderson directed the play, and the cast in- cluded: Gertrude Gitfin, Addie Lou Klotz, Morris Neptune, Tune Glathart, Marty Davis, Bob Braden, George Hobson, lim Tay- lor, Buford Brown, and Rosemary Geyer. The Seniors this year presented a drama en- titled, Double Door. The date for the play was May 8, l944. The play is concerned with the over- throw of the dominating head ot the house ot the Van Bret family. This play had as a cast the follow- ing: Connie Loren, Martha MacMillin, Don Brokaw, Louise McCarty, Ieanne Robinson, Marty Dye, Eugene Baldwin, Don Clemm, Lowell Bogart, Mal Boggs, and Bill Neal. 27
