HI-Y UHEANIZATIUN The Hi-Y is a Christian Organization which has been very active in the high school during this year. Twelve new members were taken into the associa- tion in a very impressive initiation in a chapel program. Early in the year, they sponsored the selection ot a football queen for a dance closing the football season. Their speakers tor the year have included: Doctor Sweeney, Posy Goff, Vaughn Tennant, Dick Lee, Dr. W. B. Robinson, among others. They have sold Christmas cards and given a party tor the Girl Reserves. One ot their main events was a panel discussion with the Girl Reserves under the supervision of their advisor, Mr. Nicholson and their president, Mal Boggs.

GIRL RESERVES ANU UFFIUEHS The Girl Reserves welcomed their new members at the Presbyterian Church. Their Various meetinqs consisted of speeches by: Mr. Ashbauqh, Mrs. McMillan, Mrs. W. B. Robinson, Miss Prettsg a panel discussion within the group and with the Hi-Y, and an April Pool's party, a party for the mothers. Ad- visors are Miss Doris Simpson and Miss Charlotte Clinaaman. The Future Farmers of America organization has been comparatively inac- tive because of the lack ot an advisor. The club was formed however, under the leadership oi Mel Hammond, President. Members are: D. Ship- man, D. Foos, W. Wil- liams, R. Gompt, D. Doty, R. Heacock, T. Fiscarelli, L. Taylor, D. Shipman, C. Rhodes, Ir. Fritz, Hart- pence, A. lrons, I. Burns, A. lrons, M. Hammond. The Future Homemak- ers oi America, with their own money and the help oi the school bought fur- niture and redecorated the Home Economics room. They initiated about 25 new members on October 25, l943, and also a group of Cardington girls. One ot their pro- grams was a tea given to their mothers. They sponsored the Christmas dance. President, Thelma West and advisor, Miss Kelly. 25
