Our class aim is Always to be true to Mt. Gilead, the school of the purple and white, to do our best in everything we do, and to do everything we are asked to do. The Mt. Gilead Grade School has an enrollment of two hundred ninety-nine pupils, one hundred thirty- seven girls and one hundred sixty-two boys. This year, in addition to a monthly chapel program pre- pared by each room, a weekly assembly program was introduced. Each room contributed a number and the programs proved to be very beneficial and entertaining. By this plan many more individual pupils are allowed to participate in the programs while all are given a chance to cooperate in creating the proper audience response to a program. The major activity this year was the presentation ot the operetta, The Blue Belt, on April ll, by grades tour, tive, and six, under the supervision of Miss Gantz. Posters and some of the costumes and properties were made in art classes under the supervision of Miss Peoples.
