He is our most prized Athletic Director, and the friendly, guiding light of all delin- quents on Dante Avenue. FR. Noun.-xN W'iaR1.1No. O. CZ.-.Rr-1. Returns to Carmel after serving live years in Joliet, Besides teaching Accounting to the upperclassmen, he is Assistant Prefcct of Discipline. He has won acclaim this year as thc zealous director of the Student Council. .fdclminififrafion FR. LEANDER 'FROY, O. CARM. The newly appointed Su- perior of the religious on the Faculty, Fr. Leander returns to Carmel after two years at St. Cyril's parish. Along with the duties of Prior, Father is found teaching Religion and junior Algebra, FR. RIURRAY PHELAN, O. CARM. The duties of Prefect of Religion and Vocation Di- rector are but two of Fr. ML1i'i'ay's functions. He also may be found teaching Sopho- more Geometry and junior Algebra. His after school hours are spent in the Me- morial Chapel confessional. FR. lXTAURIc:l2 :XNDIiRSON, O. CARM. Has put in many years as treasurer of Nft. Carmel. He also acts as moderator of the high school Alumni which has prospered well under his directorship. Father is present director of all publications for Carmel. FR. RUssH1.i. G.-xvm, O. ClARM. Fr. Russell, who teaches Freshman Religion and Senior History, grew up in Chicago. Father joins the rank of teachers back again in their home town. At the mid-year he replaced Fr. Rene as Registrar. FR. ljAVID NIURPIIY, O. ClARM. Among the busiest faculty members, Fr. David acts as Prefcct of Studies, directing the students in the selection of their courses. He is moderator of the lN'fother's Club and also manages to delight third year students with History. FR. BARRY lik!-IMER, O. CARM. He spends his ample supply of energy and skill teaching Chemistry and Physics. As school sports statistician, he follows the teams closely. He may also be found assisting in the Studies Office and mode- rating the Science Cluh. ll

He also presents to the Sophomores, -Iuniors and Seniors the es- sentials of linglish and Litera- ture. FR, COLUMRA FUGARTY, U. clARM. As lN1oderator of Carmel's excellent newspaper, the Carmel-Lite. Father spends many hours aiding the staff to prepare the editions for dead- line. Not to be outdone, he also presents comprehensive courses in Religion and Gen- eral Science to the Freshmen. FR. VINC2liNT O'BRii-iN, O. CARM. Leader of Carmel's Cisca program, the Moderator of the Queens. and eo-editor of the Religious bulletin, this busy priest also finds time to teach Second and Third Year Religion. FR. RIINVAN IDONAIIUE, O. ClARM. Although he teaches Fourth Year Religion, Sophomore linglish, and junior General Matliematics, Father's versa- tility does not end there. He's quite active as Moderator of the Swimming Team and the Art Club. CLCU, FR. SILVAN Box'i.E, O. ClARM. A eonscientious teacher of Latin to First and Second Year sections and of Algebra to Freshmen, Father also moderates the wrestling team and promotes Religious voca- tions among the students. FR. CARI. PFISTKR, O. ClARM. Now in his second year at Carmel this likable priest im- parts a great deal of knowledge to his Freshman Latin and Sophomore and Senior Religion classes. He also puts vigor into his other job, that of assistant treasurer. YY l FR. Mx'i,i-is ciIll.GAN, O. ClARM. Besides instrueting the Juniors in Religion, Fatlier also lends his valuable time to the Dads' Club, as its able Nloderator. He also assists Father Vineent in editing the all-important religious bul- letins. FR. JXIDAN BU'i'iiiaR, O. ClARM. A newcomer to the halls of Carmel is this priest who hails from the Smoky City of Pittsburgh. Renowned for his feats in the faculty game, Father also teaches Geometry to the Sopliomores. 13
