RE TATIC Q ill 4, ,Il . W 4. Q -4 fl' A' LJ lah. Within recent years the name, Mt. Carmel, has been blessed with great good fortune. Countless awards, trophies, and athletic champion- ships have been justly claimed by this school. And yet these awards and trophies are immaterial compared with the infinite reaches of God's providence. ' The Senior Class of 1952 believes that it has gained a wonderful education from Carmelis competent faculty. Not merely an education derived from books, because life is much more complex than that. A true man must also be instilled with a loveg a love of his God, and his fellow man. V Carmelis religious' program is geared directly to the necessities of thestudents. Weekly Mass, continuous confessions, vocational rosaries, and retreats Conly school which has four separate retreatsj all are at your beckoning call. The Third Order and Religious Council are composed of those school members, who feel an abundant love of God. The school program is divided into six categories, and each section looks to a religious figure for its guidance. Our faculty looks to the greatest teacher of them all, jesus Christ, who is exemplary of all faculty conduct. The before-and-after class prayers are offered up to St. Thomas Aquinas so that he may aid us in our studies. St. Joseph, with his industrious loyalty, is the prototype of all organizations. The work of the Religious Council attests that his leadership is most bene- ficial. The athletic representative is St. Michael, although his influence reaches further than the field of sports. In the battle of life he is our great weapon against the beckonings of temptation. In all social ac- tivities we look to our Blessed Mother. To our eyes our girls and sweet- hearts must be a portrait of saintly purity. For all outside activity we implore the aid of St. Therese, whose humble piety is an inspiration to all. With her guidance we may truly look upon God as our Father. The Carmelite Fathers have known no bounds to aid us towards the better fulfillment of our Catholic lives. It is no matter how praise- worthy a man may be in the sight of another mortal. The great rod of measurement is wholesome worthiness in the sight of God. To live - 9 a truly happy life without religion is absurd, for one cannot exist without the other. . nf V'
