1 X U ii 1111111111-:lf l ' LCDR W. H. DeWlTT, USN EXECUTIVE OFFICER The path of preparation towards Executive Ofhcer has been both multi-patterned and complete. William H. DeWitt enlisted in the Navy at Los Angeles, Calif. in March 1947. He graduated from ET 'A' school in january 1948 and from 1948 until 1957 Mr. DeWitt vvas an electronic technician aboard various SERVPAC ships, and in AIRPAC and AIRLANT as a nuclear weapons technician. After promotion to Warrant Cfficer in 1957 he instructed at the Electronics Material School, Great Lakes, until 1959. While serving on the USS YORKTOWN QCVS-105 he vvas selected for Limited Duty Qfficer QLDOD and after promotion to Lieutenant in 1961 served as Officer in charge of ET 'B' school, Treasure Island. The Executive Officer was an adviser to Republic of Vietnam Navy from 1965-1967. LCDR DeWitt assumed his present billet in May 1967. fv 4 ,-,Y I l A f 3. x
