Doyle Carter, Superintendent Thirty-six years of educational exper- ience and dedication to the needs of stu- dents keynote Mr. Carter's life. To Mr. Carter, the students are the most impor- tant thing, whatever he does, he does it for the students. Since coming to Mounds in 1978, Mr. Carter has seen the school system move UP in many ways. Academics have been greatly empha- sized with the additions ofthe Beta Club, Gifted Program, and Superintendent's honor roll. Most important, however, has been the Upgrading of Mounds buildings with the addition of a new high school campus.
