CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 19h8, twenty fosr green freshman came shyly toward Nound City Iigh School Before we were hardly through the door, the Senior class of 19 9 initiated us into full cit izenship of Iound City Hibh School We elected the following class officers president and student council member, Howard Campbell, vice president, Nancy Turner, secretary t1easurer, Cherry Lee Ayers, and reporter, Ruby Graham we had a class party in the fall and another in the spring Tae next fall found us returning as sophomores and we elected the following class officers, president, Charles New, vice president Louis Charl y, secretary treasurer, Ruth Stan brough, student council member, Nancy Turner, and reporter Betty Lou Scott e had the usual class parties The following year we returned as the Junior class and were ready to begfn the many activities that are enjoyed the last two years of school For class officers we elected president, Everett Holt, vice president, Kate Higgins, sec retarv treasurer, Vary Ellen Nolfinger, student council member, Bettv Lou Scott, and reporter, Charles New aged this with a minimum of wild rides and a few mishaps but came out ahead in the dollars and ce ts column Then came the Junior play Unde the able direction of Vrs nenney, who saw to it that there were few accidents and delays, the curtain rose on our play, nJunior Prom , as sc heduled cast Next on our list came the Junior and Senior Banquet I was set around a Hawaiian theme Then we had a preview of what was to happen the following year whem we were allowed to march ln with the Senior class of Sl uoon their graduation Class officers elected for our Senior year included s udent counc'l Dresident, Betty Lou Scott, presldent, Bill Wurray, vice nresldent, Anna Lee Bland, and secretary treasurer, Kate Hiacins Je tfen too' the freshman class in hand t is year and, wlthout me cy, initiated t e We still have the Senfor play, sneak dav, and, above all, graduation to look forward to ' L - 1 . CLASS PROPUFCY as we jump on the hands of the clock, nd whirl into the future, we stop in Paris, the spring of 1942 we find Ruth Mae on a concert tour of Europe playinv for Kina Wolfineer Ind his Music 1 Wildcats fe board the Purse Jet to head for the State , and on board we find S A lSafetv Alwaysl piloting us with his little smilinc stewar dass, Anna Lee Bland also on the plane, we ind Nancy Turner, who is a model and desivner for the Han over Model Avency The nizht finds us parting at the Stork Club, now owned by Charles New His special feature for the eveninz is that sensational Red Head ed comedian, Dorothy A oood niehts rest, and onward to West Poi t, where Professor B L Scott is conducting experiments at the McGra1 Plant Ronald still being her main project In Indianapolis, we stop off at the Indiarapol s Speedway now Haywar Hizhwav, for Roll's annual auto show The feature attraction is the U N 3 car, desianed by Gene Post, now owner of Gener 1 Motors Time seems to fly, and we find we'r in sunny C lifornia Hollywood, where it see s cowboy are still popular, we find Skip Alone Caslda, and his famous white saw horse Gary works for Producer Holt, who's next picture is, 'Get Off the Stole, Skip, You fin't on tr an e Anymore San Dievo, we find Joan Vauzhn and Ruth H rlow, founders of the Kwaitinff for sailors to come hore D Los Andles we find Mareret Rost, who is now the fe ture writer for the Escuire mavazina Time p sses and we find we're in Arizona where Sharpshooter Worthinrton has just sold the Grand Canyon to Cattle Kin Murray to water his cattle fro One nivht on the way to visit Kate Hivgins, who is head super visor at the Bell Telephone Compan in Kansas Citr, we were listening to XEID Clint, Texas and heard Louis Charley advertisinr Diamond rirvs for only 2 O0 Finally endina up in Kans s, we find at Kansas State, Mary Wllen who has finished her M ster's Derree and nov is workinc on her Doctor' De ree, and tavinz care of two kids, is wait nq p tiently or Uorard to finish his Bache1or's Science Devree in Vnvir erlnz Kansas City once more, we find Lois Chapran who, at last has found a cure for the headache she rot while workinv on the prophecy, and now is in business selling her Special Headache Powder we hurry back to Paris to bo rd the hands of our clock, we can all Qree, that the Seniors of l9f2, have all heen 0 success and are still the est class that ever w lked the halls of 'CWS .7 . .5 C . . ., Q i .- .- , 2 a .
