CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 19h8, twenty fosr green freshman came shyly toward Nound City Iigh School Before we were hardly through the door, the Senior class of 19 9 initiated us into full cit izenship of Iound City Hibh School We elected the following class officers president and student council member, Howard Campbell, vice president, Nancy Turner, secretary t1easurer, Cherry Lee Ayers, and reporter, Ruby Graham we had a class party in the fall and another in the spring Tae next fall found us returning as sophomores and we elected the following class officers, president, Charles New, vice president Louis Charl y, secretary treasurer, Ruth Stan brough, student council member, Nancy Turner, and reporter Betty Lou Scott e had the usual class parties The following year we returned as the Junior class and were ready to begfn the many activities that are enjoyed the last two years of school For class officers we elected president, Everett Holt, vice president, Kate Higgins, sec retarv treasurer, Vary Ellen Nolfinger, student council member, Bettv Lou Scott, and reporter, Charles New aged this with a minimum of wild rides and a few mishaps but came out ahead in the dollars and ce ts column Then came the Junior play Unde the able direction of Vrs nenney, who saw to it that there were few accidents and delays, the curtain rose on our play, nJunior Prom , as sc heduled cast Next on our list came the Junior and Senior Banquet I was set around a Hawaiian theme Then we had a preview of what was to happen the following year whem we were allowed to march ln with the Senior class of Sl uoon their graduation Class officers elected for our Senior year included s udent counc'l Dresident, Betty Lou Scott, presldent, Bill Wurray, vice nresldent, Anna Lee Bland, and secretary treasurer, Kate Hiacins Je tfen too' the freshman class in hand t is year and, wlthout me cy, initiated t e We still have the Senfor play, sneak dav, and, above all, graduation to look forward to ' L - 1 .
