Merrit The Morton "Potter Puffs", a selected group of sixteen girls, were seen this year at home basketball and football games performing routines at half-time. Sally Clark and Sue Driscoll, the co-captains, added a new variety of routines which they learned at summer camp at ISU. New uniforms were a highlight in this year's "new look." Sponsor for drill team was Miss Studinger. Young was the only way to describe this year's varsity cheerleading squad with only one senior, Linda Betta, returning. This year they gave away the "Spirit Frog" to the class with the most spirit at the games. Varsity cheerleading squad included: Linda Berta, seniorg Rhonda Fuehring, Gayle Kniep, Sharon Merwin, .Iuniorsg Sue Jacobson and Teri Hauter, soph- omores. Junior varsity was made up of sophomoresg Heidi Zimmerman, Toni Ristich, Gail Hedrick, and freshmeng Mindy Weinike, Cheryl Wenninger, and Laurie Merrit. Both squads were sponsored by Mrs. waibel. The cooks plan the noon meal to provide the fundamental daily nutritional requirements basic to every student's needs. The janitors strive to give our school a bright and shiny appearance. MHS is very lucky to have these men and women. The secretaries run MHS much like a large business organization. They manage the money, plan daily schedules of an- nounced events, and generally take care of the all-important office work. These ladies keep the MHS corporation running smoothly and precisely.
