For the past 13 years, Mortimer Jordan has been enriched by the presence of Mrs. Betty Thompson. She has served the school commu- nity since 1965 when she was hired by the then principal Mr. J. O. Sud- deth. During her years at MJ, Mrs. Thompson has been more than a registrar. She has been the trea- surer for the P.T.A. and has sold tickets at all home football games. Mrs, Thompson is married to Mr. Sam Thompson. They are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter and the grandparents of two. They are active members of the Methodist church. Mrs. Thompson displays three important c's -- competence, calmness and caring - a very appropriate tribute to one whose loyalty to MJ stands as an example to all who follow.
