Beauty Brings Repeated Honors Miss Elaine McKinney was Mortimer Jordan ' s Den- tal Clinic Representative. In the judging Elaine was cho- sen First Alternate. This is the second year Jordan ' s representative has won this honor. All the contestants were interviewed by the judges at a formal banquet. Poise, per- sonality, and grace played an important part in the judges decision. Elaine ' s honors include being a cheerleader for two years, a member of the Na- tional Honor Society, Junior and Sophomore Favorite, and Elaine was First Alter- nate in the Senior Beauty Contest. Elaine has brought many honors to Mortimer Jordan. 24

But important too, is that they were out there supporting their, and your, school. Sure, you say we had only three wins, Oak Grove, West Jefferson, and one of our oldest foes, Warrior, but winning isn ' t everything. Con- gratulations should . . . 26
