After many moments of contemplation and consul- tation the judges reached their decision. Miss Nancy Neely was crowned as the 1967 Senior Beauty . Miss Elaine McKinney received the honor of First Alternate. The Junior Class selected Miss Gail Moore as Junior Beauty. Miss Janie Todd was chosen as Sophomore Beauty.

September October November December Poise, Personality and Charm to all Mortimer Jordan has many beautiful girls. The students selected the top fourteen girls from the Senior Class to compete in the 1967 Beauty Pageant 1 ' . These girls were interviewed by judges Mrs. Snow, Miss George Ann Gip- % ■ z son, and Mr. Nick Cottis. They were then presented in an assembly program where they were judged in formals. Betty Is 1 967 Queen of Hearts From a selection of fifteen girls representing homerooms, Betty Glasscock, senior, was cho- sen Queen of Hearts. Connie Johnson, senior was selected as first alternate. The Echo Staff presented the girls to senior high students in an assembly program. This year for the first time a Princess of Hearts was chosen. Janet Booker received this honor.
