It played at football games, Open House, and Mohiba. The band and the Glee Club presented their annual Spring Concert in April. Morse band members sponsored the sale of telephone book covers as a money- making project. Band-Aid Day was held in February, sponsored by the Band Boosters' Club. Band members took an active part in this project to earn money for uniforms. The band represented Morse at the XVestern Maine Music Festival, marched in the Memorial Day Parade, and played at Class Day Graduation, thus bringing a successful year to a close. Marching with the band were eight majorettes. They were Dottie Robinson, head majorette, Christine Libby, head twirler, Sandra Bean, jane Fraser, Judy Gross, Charlene Guynn, Betsy Gamble, and Alice Green. 64 B -XSRLT B XLI C.0'1c11 Eugene Hunter C, 1pt 1111 Ed NI1rc11f:t11 A 31 B-XSILB XLL C0111 Dc11111s XIIIIIJHX Co c1p11111s Xnmce L1bbx f,,11iT1CS kubut Q Y FOOTB ALL C10 1011 H 1rrx H 111501 L0 C 1111211115 HCfb1C k11der5o11 01111 L111mpz1g11e TRLXC,Ix Co1c11 Dum 111 F111ell C 111111111 G11bert Robmson ni 1 1 1 , 1 1 j ' - AA A 1 L 1 J 1 1 , V , . 1 1 1 1 'z 2' ' , . A. A., and majorettes. There has been no formal organization of this group in recent years, and therefore there are no activities to report. 66 6 QQFAQJEIU There were many girls trying Ollt for cheering this year. From this group nine Varsitv and five unior Varsity cheerleaders were selected. The selecting was done by a Student Council committee and members ol' the faculty. The Cheerleaders have had a food sale a record hop and have sold programs at football games for their money making projects. Practices have been held every Nlondav and Thursday. All the cheerleaders have worked hard this year not only to make the cheer- leading group one of the best in the state but to give the teams full support at every Varsity game.
