Mr. Saul ' 1 : H - , , . . , - I. . . . , . I . 1 ' ' 3 ln the four years of our passing through, we matured, formulated ideals, and established indi- vidual goals. Beneath the superficial self-importance of seniors stirred a vague restlessness-the readiness to become part of an adult world. The pattern was now being completed. Class offiicers were elected and were again headed by Dave Rothschild. Coach Flynn was invaluable as class advisor. Jimmy Tillet captained the football team through a wildly victorious season-good omen of things to come. The talents of the entire class were expended to the fullest to make a success of the senior play, "Father of the Bride." Money from the sale of tickets assured the finances for the Senior Prom and the class yearbook. The yearbook, itself, maior proi- ect of the year, began operations with Judy Goebel and John Ong as editors-in-chief. The class of '58 boasts several members hon- ored for outstanding merit. Lynda Mowitt, Seth Many and Larry Smolowitz were honored scholasti- cally as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program, and Lisa Robinson was elected DAR rep- resentative on a basis of outstanding citizenship. Spring found us sporting our senior hats and thinking somewhat pensively of graduation while planning furiously for the long-awaited Senior Prom. Thoughts vacillate from the plans for the years ahead to memories of the time now over. Emotions are confused, deep affection for the familiar is en- tangled with our eagerness to explore the future, but the all-pervading feeling is one of profound gratitude for what we have been taught here.
