Barbara Huddleston President tyuvtCan, Thirty-six juniors entered the halls of M. C. H. S. in the fall of '54 looking forward to an enjoyable year. The juniors were well represented in all organizations and proved to be very capable leaders in many of them. Their play, "Let's Face It" and the Prom were the highlights of the year. It is with confidence that they step up to be "sophisticated seniors. Smtar (?ta i4, When in the course of school events, it becomes necessary for the Senior Class to dissolve the educational bonds which have connected it to the other classes, and to assume the duties of citizenship for which their school life has prepared them, a decent respect to the opinion of the other classes requires that they should transcribe this history leading up to their graduation. We, the Senior Class of 1955, entered the doors of M. C. H. S. in the fall of 1951, feeling a bit apprehensive but eager to begin our higher education. Our class elected Jerry Beiermann, President; Shirley Babbs, Vice-President; Lois Garner, Treasurer; and Joe Lamb, Secretary. Our class sponsors were Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Kruzel. As our second year convened, we elected Larry Smith, President; Boyce McWard, Vice-President; Lois Garner, Treasurer, and Janann Duffy, Secretary. Mrs. Westermeier and Mr. LeMay were our class sponsors. Diane Edwards was chosen from our class to help in the cheerleading for the basketball games. Shirley Oiler and Donnis Jack were the twirlers from our class. As Junior statesmen, we began our third session by electing Glenn Fesser, President; Boyce McWard, Vice-President; David Jones, Treasurer; and John Stanley, Secretary. Mrs. Bowen, Miss McWard, and Mr. Smith were our sponsors. Our class play "The Little Dog Laughed," proved to be a great success. Diane Edwards was chosen Queen of the school carnival. To climax the school year, we presented a prom and banquet in favor of the senior class in which Janann Duffy was chosen Queen of the Prom. Taking our honored places as senior statesmen, we had as our sponsors Mrs. Petersen, Mr. Griffith, and Mr. Smith. The class officers were as follows: Boyce McWard, President; Glenn Fesser, Vice President; Lenora Lucas, Treasurer; and Lois Garner, Secretary. David Jones was chosen King of the school carnival. We were guests at the Junior Prom and Banquet held in our honor. And for the support of this declaration and with a firm reliance on what the future holds for us, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
